One of my most favourite places

Maybe Tal-y -Llyn lake is not on the radar of some anglers, but, if you want to practise the gentle art, Tal-y-Llyn is THE place, if you are looking for tranquillity, allied to good quality fishing look no further.
As the heading says, Tal-y-Llyn is my favourite place, and wonder of wonders, in this day and age of instant fishing, a rarity, Brown Trout only, NO Rainbows, not that I don't like Rainbows, far from it, if it wasn't for our Beautiful American cousin, many people would never have discovered fishing and fly fishing in particular, But Brown Trout I do like, and to fish at Tal-y-Llyn is in my opinion a truly special experience. To think of all the fishermen who have wet a line on the lake over the years, makes me realise how privileged I have been, to spend time there. And yet, two or three years ago, it really was in the doldrums, and had been for a quite while, people had stopped going there, so, the future was not bright, but, thanks to the efforts of Phil Wood, Tal-y-Llyn is back, not quite, back to what it was, BUT, believe me it is getting there.
I would, without any hesitation, recommend a day at Tal-y-Llyn, if you are looking for a special experience, Tal-y-Llyn is the place.
Keep up the good work Phil.

The photographs show the hotel, lake. I think you will agree a stunning view, looking up the valley on a truly glorious day.
